We are all created to do good works In other people’s lives. I believe that He is using me to encourage and strengthen you so you to do the same for other people’s lives.
Imagine a couple that is living next door to you and that are in need of help but, they are to ashamed to ask you to help them out. This matter at hand prevents the couple from the ability of getting to what they are in need of. Their matter at hand is their lack of transportation, so the couple ends up starving to death.
Other People’s Lives
Do you even know what is going on in other people’s lives?
Because, my son was outdoors and doing work on our property when we first moved here. One of our neighbors came right on over to strike up a conversation with my son. Out of curiosity the neighbor came over to see if we were the new owners.
The husband rolled up on a Polaris RZR because, that is his way of traveling around because of his multitude of health issues. His wife choose to walk on foot for her health related issues. Afterall, we all have them. What is the method you use to get around and is it the best one?
Over time we learned more about one another. Being, they have lived her over 30 years that had valuable information to share with us the past and the present and what is upcoming when it comes to our weather patterns, needs, getting out, etc.
Our friendly neighbors were the first ones to educate us and to offer us help when we needed it. They checked in with us all the time, even if it was unexpected visits. They have been there for so many of us in our quant area in so many ways. We’ve been blessed beyond all means because of their good stewardship.
What Is Good Stewardship In Other People’s Lives?
Before purchasing our land, our neighbor prayed diligently and we are all blessed to have one another. How does that feel? It feels amazing, to say the least.
We might assume that our deeds are of no importance and we must understand that our good works cannot save us.
Genuine faith always expresses itself through action and when good deeds/works flow we will see through other people’s lives that He is working in us. Others observe and the things we do for another is the goal here.
Go Out To Be Unnoticed
We must not strive to be noticed as we seek out opportunities that are not measured by our bank accounts. We have access to God’s riches and that is what we call “Joy.” It’s the most amazing feeling you will experience. It’s a natural high that you cannot explain but, others can see it in you.
To serve is a kind act
Provide for the needy, serve with humility
Share His Word,
Have a listening ear
Bring light to the spiritual darkness that is overwhelming you and other people’s lives.
Your good works and righteous acts can never earn God’s forgiveness and favor. No matter what you’ve done, you can be declared righteous if you’ll turn from your sins and trust Jesus as your Savior.
Go And Tell
Tell others the good news of your salvation. I share openly how I rejected Him over and over again. Which seemed to make Him even in more pursuit of me till I was willing to accept Him. Afterall, how do you reject something you don’t believe in? Everyone has heard of Jesus, how do you reject Him being that you have heard of Him?
Have you seen the movie “Passion for Christ”, if not make it a point to watch it. You won’t regret it.
What does it mean to be intimate in order to be in other people’s lives?
What is intimacy? Its a desire. It’s my desire to study and meditate on His Word each and everyday. Without it I have no sense of direction and havoc will be awaiting. I must gear up and be ready to fight off what is lurking about.
What path are you taking each and everyday. Is it the path to least resistance? Is the path your taking where others are going? Are you being led by the right people or are you just wandering around in the wilderness aimlessly?
Has your life taken a different turn and presented you unique challenges along the way?
Spring Has Sprung So There Should Be No More Hum Drum
There should be no more hum drum here because spring has sprung up out of nowhere or sew its seams with all the streams.
This spring is leaving us with only a small amount of time to make up for our normal spring prep and plantings this year.
Our reasoning this spring could be what we need to soften the blow. Our season went from freezing to steaming temperatures.
This Spring Will Be A Season Of Renewal And Revival
Speaking of steaming temperatures I sit here soaking up the warmth of the sun as I write these words. It honestly feels like it’s the first day of spring today. Yet, it isn’t the first day of spring because yesterday felt like it was the first day of spring. But, it wasn’t either, either way, it is here to stay.
I’m literally ready for this new season to stay, aren’t you? The ladybugs and ants are creeping and crawling about.
There are six deer present at this time gathering together to feast on what I cast out to them for them to feed upon. Although, green stems are popping up amongst us everywhere for the deer to graze upon. The deer are out about seeking all that they can eat at this time in the early morning hours.
Its now a time that I call God’s private living revival. It seems to be happening before our very eyes in our land and in our yards.
The Seasons Of Change
Snow blizzards that blasted us this winter has done a number on our homes and our minds. The darkness of winter is leaving us and spring is springing up quickly into a hot mess as we scurry about.
The intention of growing seeds indoors and outdoors has played a number on us this year. We are easily intimidated by the unknown as we draw back and retreat to what is comfortable. This may mean that we are being reliant versus self-reliant.
Are you relying on your store fronts to provide what we need and right when we need it?
What we need to retreat to is educating ourself enough to find ways around this intimidation. What is intimating you to not thrive and to become more self-reliant on what you are able to do in these trying times? What is buried deep inside you that is making you feel hopeless or helpless? Is this something you are going to allow yourself to be buried forever deep inside of you, smothered beneath the cold walls you have built around you?
If you want to make a change look at what your root base is adhered to or what your root system is exposed to. Learn some vast new ways to grow and you will become a healthier version of yourself.
How Healthy Is That Root System Of Yours?
How is your root system? Is this root system of yours ever going to emerge and make you wonder if you’ll ever grow freely again? Or, is it bound by the structure you put around it?
Ponder these questions when it comes to you and your seedlings.
Will the sod ever soften up again?
Is the sod full of nutrients or has it hardened like clay?
Do you want to feel like you are being warmly embraced? Even if its by the rays of sunlight radiating from the sky for your skin or your soul to absorb amongst?
Will this change happen in this season of your soul?
It’s a time of renewal and a good-bye to your despair because, He has awakened my soul.
Spring has sprung up inside me. How has it been for you?
I must go and grow to reap what I should know. How about you are you eager and ready to sew what you reap? We’ve been inside too long, a very long time.
Don’t loose sight of what you are growing towards even if its just seeing the mountain peaks.
Hibernation
God’s creations are coming back to life including the creatures that are coming back from hibernation. The bears will be crawling slowly back out of a dark cave they slept in. This means we must be on high alert when it comes to our comings and goings.
Are you on high alert when it comes to all that is lurking out and about as you go out and about? What is enticing you? What is tempting you?
Disillusionment and Discouragement
There may be much disillusionment and discouragement lurking about but don’t be afraid to re-attempt to create a new season of revival within you. It’s time to renew your life with inspiring events that surround you. The promise of change will surround you when you surround yourself with the endless possibilities that are at hand for you to pull from.
Constant Movement Upon Us This Spring
I can stare out at you
All because of your beauty
Your weathering is a sign
The seasons of change
I must plot the lot
Enjoying sounds of nature
Birds chirping and other things lurking
Lizards crawling
Leaves crunching
Falling trees and limbs surround
Chiseling away with the fallen
From dirt to dust we will return
Let the gravel unravel under foot
Creeks spans since our arriving
Expansion to Leaping vs. Stradling
Looking for a way, a cross
There is no stop just a flow
Even the congestion
In the creek beds
There is a flow
Waterfalls to natural springs
We must nurture nature
Enjoy the eb and flow
Allow it to all slip slide away
Like slick mud
We call earth
Is clearing a way
To explore more
Yahweh can be your Way
Spring Of Expansion Is Underway
Take hold of the new even if it’s for a season the expansion is underway, it is upon you, and there is nothing worth turning back for. This season should be pondered and explored more and you can do this elsewhere too
There is no turning back because of all the newness that is present and it is all oh-so-fulfilling.
How to better plan ahead when it comes to snow, a record amount of snow this year
How To Better Plan Ahead When It Comes To Snow
We better plan ahead for next year. Because this winter had been rather odd around here Especially when it comes to the amount of snow we get and at what time of the year the snow comes and goes. We thought last year’s snow would have been the worst.
This year we have had snow come and go off and on throughout the months. The snow had been light and sometimes the snow melts before it even hits the ground. Then, heavier snow comes and stays for a couple of days, weeks and for an entire month.
At times I would jump in my 2022 Subaru Ascent with 22′ wheels and normal treaded tires to drive my vehicle at our top entrance of our property. Parking our vehicles at the top is a must because, it would allow us to get out if we needed to and return only God knows when.
Our Private Road
On our private road seems to be the worst for all who travel to and from because of the incline and the road surface which consists of gravel. Although on our private road we are the ones to get the most snow out of anyone else and our snow is the last to leave our area.
This last snowstorm came in during the night as expected but, I gave up on moving my vehicle at this point in time. So, my Subaru remained stuck meaning it was buried in snow for weeks. And all because I stopped being on high alert when it came to moving my vehicle at the first sight of snow. A month and a half later I was able to get my vehicle out and that was only because of all the rain that came in and melted the snow away.
A little bit later I heard we may be getting more snow at some point. So, that means I must get out while I can, so that is what I’m going to do. That is after I use a magnetic metal finder to pick up any loose screws and bolts and nails that may be on the ground due to my awning breaking off my home. I will discuss this later on.
Necessities You Must Have When It Comes To Living Amongst Snow
Thinking ahead after last year’s storm I purchased a snow scraper from Amazon for my vehicle. The problem I ran into was that my scraper was in my vehicle and the snow didn’t allow me to open my doors to retrieve the snow scraper. There is always something new to learn and think about well in advance.
Dilemmas Unfolding On A Daily Basis
We have various vehicles that we thought could get us out of the snow. Each vehicle had its fair bit of challenges and other vehicles have failed us in different ways. Dilemmas unfolding on a daily basis can get rather overwhelming to say the least.
You better plan ahead when it comes to your transportation and the tires on your vehicle
In one of our vehicles, the battery failed, and the other vehicle was too heavy to use without chains. This left using an ATV. The RZR allowed my son to get to and from work and as you can see he even got stuck one day because more snow came and we had the wrong type of tires on the RZR.
For my son to get unstuck he had to winch the Polaris RZR to a tree which allowed it to get unstuck. A tree had fallen in the middle of this area of the road too. That is when he attempted to turn around to come back home. Praise God this method of transportation is allowable in our area.
Better Plan Ahead When It Comes To Tires and Chains
We could have purchased and used chains on some of our vehicles but, haven’t yet. My Subaru is the only vehicle that I cannot put or use chains on. That’s one of the drawbacks to owing a newer vehicle.
I purchased mud and snow tires in March of 2023 at Americas Tire we will see how the next snow storm will be for me and my newer Subaru. My sons old 1990’s Subaru gets him everywhere in most snow conditions too without chains too.
We will be ordering 2-6 truckloads of rock to be delivered for our driveways and roadways. This last summer I had one truck load of rock delivered right after we trenched for water lines.
Going forward I’m staging my vehicle at the top of the property all winter long from this point forward!
Stuck and Nowhere to Go
The utility companies’ trucks even got stuck on our road for a couple of days. They had to bring in a massive vehicle to pull their work truck out of the snow. Our road is nothing to contend with.
Injuries Sustained All Due To The Snow
Injuries I have sustained this winter have included muscle pain, knee pain from stepping in the snow and one of my feet giving way, and the other knee trying to hold me up. I often think about upcoming winters as I age and how dangerous this can become. But, we’ll deal with that when the time comes.
My son made me a walking stick using branches from our property. This has helped me support one side of my body. But, I need another one to walk with to prevent my knee from getting injured again and again.
I have fallen in the snow several times this year due to the depth, my footing, carrying things, etc. Although I’m truly thankful it’s a pretty soft landing when you fall down in the snow.
I used my hands, a rake, and various shovels to remove as much snow as I could from our entryways, vehicles, faucet shut-offs, electrical panels, and generatorcover. I’ve sustained some major pain, weakness, soreness, and tightness in my neck and my arms. Living in the snow is not easy!
New ways of living a healthier lifestyle and what I call wellness living. Hang out with us as I share new ways of living a healthier lifestyle and what I call wellness living. It’s time to learn how to make a fresh new start.
Each day is a fresh new start and that is exactly what we need in our lives and what we need to learn to cherish more of.
As we age we lose strength and tenacity.
A healthier lifestyle must include plenty of exercise. Find ways to remain fit around a gym membership if at all possible. I used to have a membership for Hot Yoga and various other memberships. I found that the Hot Yoga helped my mind and body the most.

Inclines And Declines
Our over ten-acre parcel has various inclines and declines that allow for much-needed exercise. Having land means there is a vast array of needs and responsibilities that comes along with it. Whether that be meeting our daily needs or seasonal needs we have a plethora of work to get done.
I’ve relied on the non-winter months for keeping me fit. But, during the winter months, I must find ways to stay on top of my fitness and my movements.
The exercise I get is from being outdoors mostly. I’m not even aware that I’m exercising because the work has to get done. This can include dragging hoses on the property, moving soil, digging holes, pounding in stakes, carrying gardening equipment, using a wheelbarrow or even stacking chopped wood.
Distractions
Things Calling Our Attention
From the time all of us walk out our doorstep, we see things calling our attention. My mind goes wild as I’m sure yours does when it comes to cleaning, organizing, etc. Our mind races about thinking about what needs to get done. I could be using a broom, shaking a rug, racking, pulling weeds, planting seeds, watering the garden, or hanging something up.
There is always something that requires a form of movement and a deterrent to making other priorities number one.
We must start off on the right foot to live a healthier lifestyle
My first priority each day is must read a verse or a devotion to start off on the right foot. Then, I get up and out of bed to get ready for the day ahead. After getting some healthy meals into my body. I must think about the weather and what I can get done during a certain period.

Working Outdoors
Currently, my favorite thing to do is go into the forest with my Stihl chainsaw to take down the pine trees growing too close together. I then drag the cut-down branches and trees to areas that provide shelter for wildlife and for future cutting up or burning. We must remain diligent when it comes to having enough resources on our property.
During the summer months, it’s easy to shed weight because of all the sweating you do. My mind is lighter when I’m outdoors seeing all that surrounds us, and the accomplishments I achieve in the small and big things I’m able to do. You too can find something to do outdoors no matter how small or large of a property you have.
A Healthier Breakfast Recipe
Overnight Oats
1 Banana
1/2 cup Blueberries, frozen or fresh
1 tsp Lemon, zest
1/2 cup Peaches, fresh or frozen
2 tbsp Peanuts
1 cup Raspberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup Strawberry, frozen or fresh
Refrigerated
1/2 cup Almond milk, unsweetened
Place all the ingredients in a mason jar. Screw on the lid and place the mason jar in your refrigerator overnight.
The next morning grab a spoon and your mason jar. This breakfast item is all ready to go any time of the year.
Being Outdoors
I’m grateful for the peace our property brings to my life. Owning something free and clear frees your mind even more so.
As I work around the property I have to make myself number one when it comes to my safety and my well-being.
I enjoy creating small areas around the property that allows me a place to sit, relax and reflect. One of my favorite spots is being next to the year-round creek that we have in the middle of our property. When we moved here it was only a leap to the other side. Since the two major storms we have had over the last two years the span across the creek is massive. We cannot cross unless we make something sturdy to go across or when the water stops flowing so fast.
Because some major trees have fallen over near the creek, this summer we will be able to work and stay cool and hopefully find gold in these areas. This summer may be the time that we create a bridge using the wood from all the trees to create a bridge we can walk from one side to get to the other side.
Nature-derived wellness living is all about living life to the fullest. I will share what it’s like living amongst nature and how our mental health can be challenged at times. I will share all that we have learned and what we still run up against, conquer, and achieve when it comes to living life on 10 acres in Northern California.
Living or being present amongst nature has so many healing attributes. Learning how to be present will help you when it comes to experiencing anxiety. We’re all struggling and desire to live a natural well balanced life. But, does it come naturally? No, So where do I start?
Nature
Where Do I Start In Nature
I will start by sharing various ways and things with you that involve a natural way of living that is filled with nature, wildlife, gardening, homesteading, faith, healthy choices, and ways to practice mindfulness.
Learn why mindfulness is so important. Learn new grounding techniques, gratitude journaling, and new ways to practice self-care. Once, you can achieve this you will be able to care for another, and believe me you will have others to care for.
What Is Tugging At Your Heart? Is it wanting or trying to survive another day on earth?

Have you ever hit rock bottom? Do you know what rock bottom is? If so, do you think you are close to it? We’ve hit rock bottom more than once and found that it was because our foundation wasn’t even sound. Read on to learn more about what I mean.
We’ve had so many traumatic events take place in our lives that had left us feeling defeated so we found other means to numb ourselves from the pain we were experiencing and because we didn’t know how to process the pain we made poor choices.
Solid Foundation
Since those times of being defeated, we now have peace in knowing who has been there for us all along. Our creator chooses us but, we must learn to accept, learn, and grow.
Building a solid foundation with Him requires many steps that I will discuss later on.
Doing all this in this order will allow us to build upon something structurally sound in our own life too.
I will share a broad amount of information that helped us get out of bed.
We know how important it is to remove ourselves from certain environments that are not working for us.
Our health and well-being are important because we have only one life to live.
Strength is needed for the work we must get done.
We’re dedicated to giving you the best reality of what we call wellness living. Let’s build something together, share resources, and methods, and support one another as we learn more about ourselves.

Question: “How can I become a child of God?”
Answer: “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
“You must be born again”
When visited by the religious leader, Nicodemus, Jesus did not immediately assure him of heaven. Instead, Christ said, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
The first time a person is born, he inherits the sin nature that stems from Adam’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden. No one has to teach a child how to sin. He naturally follows his own wrong desires, leading to such sins as lying, stealing, and hating. Rather than being a child of God, he is a child of disobedience and wrath.
“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.”
As children of wrath, we deserve to be separated from God in hell. Thankfully, the passage continues, “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” How are we made alive with Christ / born again / made a child of God? We must receive Jesus!
Receive Jesus
“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” This passage clearly explains how to become God’s child. We must receive Jesus by believing in Him. What must we believe about Jesus?
First, we must recognize that Jesus is the eternal Son of God who became man. Born through the power of the Holy Spirit by the virgin Mary, Jesus did not inherit Adam’s sin nature. Therefore, He is called the second Adam. While Adam’s one disobedience brought the curse of sin on the world, Christ’s perfect life can cover our sinful ones. Our response must be to repent (turn from sin), trusting His perfect life to purify us.
Second, we must have faith in Jesus as Savior. God’s plan was to sacrifice His perfect Son on the cross to pay the punishment we deserve for our sin: death. Christ’s death frees those who receive Him from the penalty and power of sin.
Finally, we must follow Jesus as Lord. After raising up Christ as the Victor over sin and death, God gave Him all authority. Jesus leads all who receive Him; He will judge all who reject Him. By God’s grace giving us repentance and faith in the Savior and Lord, we’re born again to new life as God’s child. Only those who receive Jesus—not merely knowing about Him but relying on Him for salvation, submitting to Him as Master, and loving Him as the supreme treasure—become God’s children.
Become a child of God
Just as we had no part in our natural birth, we cannot cause ourselves to be born into God’s family by doing good deeds or conjuring up the faith of our own. God is the one who “gave the right” according to His gracious will. “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” {emphasis added). Thus, God’s child has nothing to be proud of but boasts only of the Lord.
A child grows up to look like his parents. Similarly, God wants His children to become more and more like Jesus Christ. Although only in heaven will we be perfect, a child of God will not habitually, unrepentantly sin. “Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.”
Make No Mistake
Make no mistake—a child of God cannot be “disowned” by sinning. But someone who “practices” sin (i.e. consistently enjoys sin without heed for following Christ and His Word) reveals that he was never born again. Jesus told such people, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire” God’s children, on the other hand, no longer crave the gratification of sin but desire to know, love, and glorify their Father.
The rewards of being God’s child are immeasurable. As God’s child, we are a part of His family (the church), promised a home in heaven, and given the right to approach God in prayer as Father. Respond to God’s call to repent of sin and believe in Christ. Become God’s child today!
Each of us comes into life with an inborn hunger to be known, loved, and accepted.
