Our responsibility starts before this stage.

Who’s Responsibility Is It When It Comes To Raising Our Children?

Responsibility Of A Newborn

Born, born free, reborn, new creation, is a responsibility that can many things to many people including others who are in a lonely prison cell sitting beside a fellow cellmate.

God steps in unannounced. He burst into the soul, bringing forgiveness cleansing, peace, and a whole new perspective and dimension. He calls it eternal life and the newborn. A new creature old things passed away new things have come.

We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know.

Our responsibility starts before this stage.
Our responsibility starts before this stage.

Newness and the Responsibility That Goes Along With It

New hope, new attitudes new feelings new direction, new destinies.

A newborn shakes their head blinks, looks around at their first glimpse of new life and they can hardly believe it. The world? why of course it rushes in and on.

Unconcerned, busy, preoccupied it has to stay on schedule.

Someone’s eternal new birth has occurred. Although it doesn’t attract a second glance from those standing around. God’s kingdom is being silently enlarged.

It happens every day in our vast world. It even happened today. For all you know, maybe two minutes away from your own front door.

There was a man of the Pharisee sect, Nicodemus, a prominent leader among the jews. Late one night he visited Jesus and said, “Rabbi, we all know you’re a teacher straight from God. No one could do all the God-pointing, God-revealing acts you do if God weren’t in on it.”

Jesus said, ‘You’re absolutely right. Take it form me: unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to, to God’s kingdom.”

“How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above talk?”

You’re Not Listening

Jesus said, You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation the-wind-hovering-over-the-water ‘ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch the Spirit and becomes a living spirt.

So don’t be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be ‘born from above’ out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. that’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.”

Nicodemus asked, “What do you mean by this? How does this happen?”

You’re A Respected Teacher

Jesus said, “You’re a respected teacher of Israel and you don’t know these basics? Listen carefully. I’m speaking sober truth to you. I speak only of what I now by experience; I give witness only to what I have seen with my own eyes. There is nothing secondhand here, no hearsay. Yet instead of facing the evidence and accepting it, you procrastinate with questions. If I tell you things that are plain as the hand before your face and you don’t believe me, what use is there in telling you of things you can’t see, the things of God?

No one has ever gone up in the presence of God except the one who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life.

God Loved The World

This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it.

I Peter, am an apostle on assignment by Jesus, the Messiah, writing to exiles scattered to the four winds. Not one is missing, not one forgotten. God the Father has his eye on each of you and has determined by the work of the Spirit to keep you obedient through the sacrifice of Jesus. May everything good from God be yours!

A New Life Of Responsibility

What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven-and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all-life healed and whole.

Childlike Responsibility

His spirit first convicts. Our need for Him is nudging us. He lovingly gets our attention and thankfully is gently and meets us where we are no matter our age. Obey an follow the longing and our sense He is near.

The people brought children to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. The disciples shooed them off. but Jesus was irate and let them know it: Don’t push these children away. Don’t ever get between them and me. These children are at the very center of life in the kingdom… Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.” Then, gathering the children up in his arms, he laid his hands of blessing on them.

Our Responsibility In Divorce

From there he went to the are of Judea across the Jordan. A crowd of people, as was so often the case, went along, and he as he so often did, taught them. Pharisees came up, intending to give him a hard time. They asked, “Is it legal for a man to divorce his wife?”

Jesus said, “What did Moses command?”

They answered, “Moses gave permission to fill out a certificate of dismissal and divorce her.”

Jesus said, “Moses wrote this command only as a concession to your hardhearted ways. In the original creation, God made male and female to be together. because of this, a man leaves father and mother and in marriage he becomes one flesh with a woman no longer two individuals but forming a new unity. Because God crated this organic union of the two sexes, no one should desecrate his art by cutting them apart.”

When they were back home, the disciples brought it up again. Jesus gave it to them straight: “A man who divorces his wife so he can marry someone else commits adultery against her. And a woman who divorces her husband so she can marry someone else commits adultery.

Single Parenting Responsibility

The pressure is non-stop when it comes to being a single parent. There is only you who carry all the responsibilities or decision-making when it comes to your children.

We must get a handle on our finances, this means learning how to budget your money. How much is coming in and how much is going out.

Keep the communication lines open with your children, be honest with one another.

Find support when you can even if its caring for your friends children so they do the same thing in return for you to have sometime away. An hour or two to start is a breathier and a refresher.

Don’t attempt to handle everything by yourself. Family and friends can help and even taking your children to the nursery at church can be all you need.

Spend some quiet time alone after they go to sleep to read, watch a movie, do a hobby. Do something for you.

Keep a consistent daily routine, bed time, meal time, chores, meal planning, etc.

Discipline the right way.

Stay positive and be your child(s) number one encourager even in hard times.
